Supported Living

Harlwoods provides Supported Living services to adults with Learning disability, Autism, Mental Health, and behaviours that challenge. The houses and flats we provide support from are part of the local communities. We provide a safe and supportive service which allows our service users the opportunity to develop skills for more independent. We encourage meaningful activities, ensuring a balance of self-care, leisure, and productivity (employment or education).

We provide person-centred support to our service users. We recognise that individual support needs differ. We encourage all individuals that we support to participate in the creation of their own support plans, identifying personal needs, goals & outcomes that they want in their lives. Our Support staff will help them in achieving these on their recovery journey. Our service promotes the social inclusion of all individuals, through challenging stigma and discrimination; encouraging re-integration and participation in the community and focusing on education and employment were possible. It also promotes risk assessed positive risk taking, to increase individual confidence and move towards their goals in small achievable milestones,

Step Down

Step Down is part of the mental health care pathway; it is a modern, non-clinical environment that supports people moving from high level support clinical settings into the community. We support individuals in transition from secure forensic services to community living. We can support individuals on community treatment orders and conditional discharge from the Mental Health Act as a way of recovery into the community.
